The One the Lord Truly Loves

The Lord loves those who obey,
loves those who do not put themselves on display,
and loves a faith that is not showy.
People think that Jesus
wants a great many things of them,
but Jesus delights in those who are pure and cheerful,
who rejoice and are glad.
This is because such people will never send their roots
anywhere but into the rock that is Jesus.
