The One the Lord Truly Loves

The Lord loves those who obey,
loves those who do not put themselves forward,
and loves a faith that is not showy.
People think that Jesus wants
a great many things,
but Jesus is fond of those who are pure and bright,
who rejoice and are glad.
For such people will never, apart from the rock of Jesus,
put down roots anywhere else.
