The Lost Chance

The fig tree was not given a second chance.
Its leaves were so thick that it gave many people cool shade,
yet it was not given a second chance.
How hard must its roots have labored
for those leaves?
But the fig tree, which sought only the things of the flesh,
when Jesus wanted the fruit of truth,
had nothing to give him.
When Jesus comes to you looking for the fruit of faith,
that precious chance
will not come twice.
So you
must always be ready to meet me.
