Give Only Half

When you help the poor, will you take the apple you have,
bite into it, and give away the rest?
Or will you give only half?
Or will you give the whole apple
and then fall into temptation and struggle?
If you bite into it and then give it to someone,
they will be offended and curse you.
So, with a glad heart,
cut it in half, so that you have some
and others have some too,
and help the poor with a glad heart.
