Proof of Overcoming the World

Do you know the blessing of those who have eternal life?
It is that they have overcome the world.
Though Noah seemed only adrift in an ark on the endless sea,
that is the very proof that the world has been overcome.
Though it looked like failure, bleeding on a cross that everyone mocked,
that is the very proof that the world has been overcome.
And when you fight the fight of faith to hold fast to it,
that, too, is the very proof that the world has been overcome.
Tie your shoelaces
Come now, tie your shoelaces.
And let us run!
Do not look to the right or to the left;
run only toward me, standing ahead of you.
Like Peter mending his nets,
so that the people who have been saved
cannot slip out into the world,
come, let us run hard together.
