How Will You Bear Witness to Me?

About me,
what testimony can you give?
When I bore your sins and hung on the cross,
I received no testimony at all.
You cannot testify for me anyway,
but what would I do with testimony from man?
I am the one who came of my own will to carry the cross;
I do not carry it because someone told me to carry the cross,
but carry my cross because I myself am glad to.
What could people say in testimony of me?
And if I entrusted myself to you, could you bear it?
How could I rely on those who believed because they saw signs?
Even those who say they have faith,
I know, will betray me when their lives are threatened;
how then could I entrust myself to such people, or receive their testimony?
