If You Truly Love Your Children

Look at the mother hen.
To feed her chicks, the mother hen
clucks and walks on ahead.
If the hen, worried for her chicks, only kept them under her wings,
the chicks would all die.
Leave them where they are,
and you must walk on ahead first.
Only then will the chicks follow their mother.
Why are you not walking now?
If you only look at your children,
in the end you and your children alike will stay where you are and not grow.
If you look to me and walk on ahead,
your children too will walk behind you and grow.
