If You Truly Love Your Children

Look at the mother hen.
To feed her chicks,
the mother hen clucks and walks on ahead.
If, worried for them, she only kept them under her wings,
the chicks would all die.
Leave them where they are;
you need to walk on ahead first.
Only then will the chicks follow their mother.
Why are you not walking now?
If you only watch your children,
in the end neither you nor they will grow from where you stand.
If you look to me and walk on ahead,
your children too will follow behind you, and grow.
