Keep the Faith

Faith is not something anyone else guards or builds for you.
You think, ‘God will keep my faith for me,’
‘someone will pray for me,’
‘someone will lead me into faith’;
but faith is something you must guard with your life.
If, when I bore the cross,
I had thought, ‘I am the Son of God, so he will spare me from it,’
‘he will keep the nails from hurting when they are driven in,’
if I had come to it with such careless thoughts, could I have accomplished salvation?
Never.
For fear that I might bring God’s command and plan to nothing,
do you know how much I prayed?
Pray.
Lean on the Holy Spirit to guard your faith.
