The Vessel of Prayer

As I prayed, I saw a vessel, spotless and beautiful.
It shone like pure gold, and someone was polishing it with great care.

“To hold the prayers you offer to God,
I told an angel to polish this vessel clean.
But you do not pray, and so the vessel stands empty.
What good is a vessel that is only clean?
Only when you fill it with prayer will you have something to give thirsty souls.
Pray, with a heart of compassion for souls.
Even if people cause you loss,
you need to pray for those souls with a heart of compassion.
If you pray and fill the vessel, I will work all the rest.”
