Prayer Is Like a Stream

If flowing water is cut off, how can it be called a stream?
Let your prayer go on without a break.
When prayer is cut off, it soon becomes a pool.
A pool, large or small, is bound to rot.
Do not be one whom others respect only on the surface.
If you enjoy the praise of people, your spirit will soon rot.
When the prayer of your soul keeps flowing,
the water of life flows, and you live,
and a work will take place in which those around you live as well.
