Is There an End?

People think that life has an end.
What do you think?
When you ride a train winding around the foot of the mountains,
it seems there will be nothing but mountains without end,
but when you round that bend,
if on one side there is the sea
and on the other a field of flowers,
how splendid and happy that life would be!
Just as you were afraid when you went into the tunnel,
the picture of life is never just one thing.
Even when a person puts off the flesh, it is never the end.
So do not be proud, and do not despair.
