Forgiveness as God Sees It

People repent before God and pray to be forgiven.
Of course, praying to God and asking for forgiveness is very important.
But forgiveness as God sees it
is showing him a life lived as one who has been forgiven.
If a child does nothing but cling to the mother and cry, begging her to say she has forgiven them,
the mother would scold the child all the more and would not forgive.
But if the child acts as the mother has said,
the mother would forgive the child.
What matters is showing the mother the right behavior.
In the same way, for believers it is important to pray to God for forgiveness,
but it is more important to empty the heart completely and live, for God, as one who has been forgiven.
Whoever wants to be forgiven by God must live as one whose sins are forgiven.
And if believers believe that God has already given not only forgiveness but grace,
and live by it, their future as believers will shine all the more in grace.
It is the courage
to put patience and faith
into practice.
