Your Outside Must Match Your Inside
When you make a doll, you first set up a sturdy post,
bind it with wire, spread clay on it and make it beautiful.
Then you won’t have to worry, whoever touches it.
But some people pack a lump of clay around a toothpick for a post
and boast of how quickly they made it.
But listen.
The two dolls look exactly alike on the outside, so no one can tell them apart,
but there is a way to tell them apart: give them to a small child, and you will know at once.
The moment it is in the child’s hand, it snaps right off.
Looking the same on the outside does not mean you can deceive.
You must be just as sturdy inside as outside.
Only then will your faith be safe from Satan’s touch.
You may deceive people,
but do not forget that you can never deceive me, or Satan.
First, set up the post of faith.
Then, over that post,
if you spread faith on thick with your life,
won’t my love stay there?
