True Love

Will God’s love for me grow cold?
I am always afraid it will.
Will God be disappointed in me?
I am always afraid he will.
But he says this to me:
I have never once not loved you,
I have never once pushed you away,
I have always held you in my heart and loved you,
and I too have always been afraid your love would grow cold.
