The Broken Vessel of Faith

Showing me a great, big vessel, broken, the Lord says:
If you glue a broken vessel back together,
what do you call it?
You would call it a vessel.
What do you call a person who goes to church?
You would call them a believer as well.
Do you put precious things in a broken vessel?
In the same way, I do not use a believer without faith for anything precious.
What would I put in that vessel?
Power, possessions, wisdom, love, the Word:
which of these could I put in it?
The chance of blessing does not come at any time just because you want it.
Whoever does not hold on to me, Jesus, cannot even repent at will.
Do you know that a big vessel, once broken, is messier
and harder to throw away?
