Chosen Timber

Even if the timber I have chosen is a little warped,
I will use it, even if I must cut it and carve it.
What is useless I throw into the fire without a second thought,
but the timber I have chosen,
even if I have to lay gold over its warping,
I will make into a thing I hold dear.
