Chosen Timber

The timber I have chosen, even if it is a little warped,
I will use, even if I must cut and carve it.
What is useless I throw into the fire without a second thought,
but the timber I have chosen,
even if I must lay gold over the warp,
I will make into a thing I hold precious.
