The Crown of Thorns

The forces of Satan thought that a great crown of thorns on my head
would bring me more shame, more pain,
and with that in mind they pressed the crown of thorns upon me;
but when I rose in the glory of the resurrection,
the crown of thorns became, forever, a great symbol of glory.
Just as Satan fought against my work of salvation,
will he leave a growing church, or one of my children, alone?
When this trial has passed, all of you, with joy,
will mature and grow.

As I carried the cross without a word,
you too, be still and obey.
The task of Satan’s forces
is to make my children angry.
