What True Love Is

Have you ever polished a jewel?
The jewels of the world shine when you polish them.
When you confess that you love me,
I am the one who should shine like a jewel,
but how strange it is:
I receive the confession,
yet you are the one who shines.
This is true love,
and is it not the love that gave its life?
