First, Have Faith

Faith is a sword, faith is a torch, faith is power.
Those who have no faith, more loudly,
those who have no faith, more busily,
try to make themselves seen.
But when you have true faith,
stepping on others to rise,
trying to rule over others—
you will come to know these are shameful things.
Only those who have true faith,
as one finds a watercourse flowing underground,
can sow the seed of the Word in that heart.
Before you ask for power, have faith.
Before you ask to understand the Word, have faith.
That is what it is to love Christ
and to be a child of God.
