A word of welcome
I sincerely welcome all of you who have come to Watercourse Church.
Our Watercourse Church was founded
by people who set out one large table in the middle of the sanctuary and sat around it,
hearts drawn together by nothing more than a wish to study the Bible.
So that I would not be ashamed before God,
and hoping that you, the congregation, would cherish the seed of truth and bear beautiful fruit,
I have labored to preach the word of God honestly.
The sermons preached in that way have been gathered into books,
and the Good Seed series has already grown to nineteen volumes.
This is precious fruit, borne by the grace of the word God has given
together with the devotion of the members of this church.
A church does not become a church simply because a building has been raised.
It is when its members cherish and love one another,
and set the word of God as the pillar of their lives,
that it becomes, at last, a church worthy of the name.
In the days ahead, Watercourse Church will go on
filling the hearts of its members with more of the word, with thanksgiving and with praise,
passing on and sharing the word we have received,
and letting it flow out into the world — a warm and healthy community
in which we grow together.

Watercourse Church is a church that builds up precious souls in the word of God.
People who have lived very different lives become one body with Christ at the center, and together we are a church growing more like Jesus in his love.
Hearing, learning and understanding the word, we grow in faith, and in that faith we are a church that carries the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Just as Jesus bore the cross for sinners, we at Watercourse Church are a church that gives itself in hope.

What “Watercourse” means
The name “Watercourse Church” means that there is no greater joy than to see the Word flowing like a stream in the heart of one who has received it.
Our hope is that, like a stream running cool and clear, Watercourse Church may be a church that refreshes the heart of God,
and so, true to the meaning of this precious name, we preach honestly nothing but the word of truth, that we may grow into a community used to build up souls through the word.

First-time visitors
I've never been to church. Is that okay?
Of course. Nothing makes us gladder than welcoming someone who has come wanting to believe in Jesus for the first time. It is fine if God and faith are still new to you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the pastors or elders, or anyone sitting beside you. Everyone will be happy to answer. A Bible study for newcomers is also held once a month, which will help you find your way.
Will I have to introduce myself on my first visit?
We don't ask anyone to come to the front and introduce themselves. Above all, we want first-time visitors to feel no pressure. Instead, a mentor will stay alongside you as you get used to the church.
How long is the service?
The Sunday Service starts at 11 AM and ends around 12:30 PM. The Friday Service starts at 9:30 PM and ends around 10:30 PM.
Is there a service for children?
Children have services of their own. Children's Ministry meets at 10 AM on Sunday, and the Youth Group from 1 PM. The Youth Group also takes part in the Sunday Service. If you come with a small child, you are welcome to join the 11 AM Sunday Service from the education room or the nursing room, watching on a monitor. Sitting in the sanctuary with a little one is not easy, so please do whichever is more comfortable.
Is there an offering, or a time to write my name?
There is an offering near the end of the service. No one is ever pressured, though. It is entirely voluntary, so please feel at ease. If you do write your name, it is not shown to anyone else and is used only to issue year-end tax receipts.
Do I have to register as a member first?
No. You don't need to register right away. Come a few times, and once you've made up your mind, it won't be too late to register as a member of Watercourse Church then.
Is there parking?
The entrance to the underground parking lot is next to Mega Coffee. The church will validate your parking, so just let a deacon nearby know. Take the elevator from the parking lot up to the 1st floor, then take the elevator in the connected building next door up to the 4th floor.
What if there's no parking space?
It can get a little busy on Sundays, so if you come about 30 minutes early you'll have plenty of time to park. If there's no good spot, it's fine to park on the street on Sundays.
Do I need to bring anything to worship?
Neat, modest clothes are all you need. Bibles are provided at the church, and the Scripture is also shown on screen during the service, so you don't need to bring your own. If you take your seat about 10 minutes before the service begins, you can start with a settled heart.
What should I do when I first arrive?
If you come a little early, you can meet the pastors or elders before the service. The elders stand at the church entrance, so just tell them it's your first time and they will gladly welcome you and show you around.
Is there anything after the service?
After the service we all have lunch together. After the meal, depending on the week, there are group meetings or a Bible study for the whole church, and the newcomers' Bible study is held once a month.
How do small groups work?
Each adult member belongs to a suitable small group. On the second and fourth weeks of each month, each small group studies the Bible, and on the first week we all gather for fellowship. Staying in the same small group for the year, we learn the word and pray for one another.
